Abolition is about challenging the idea that some people are bad and wrong and some people are good and right and that the bad ones need punishing and locking away and that this will solve all our problems. It's about taking responsibility for vulnerable people as a community, creating alternatives to the prison system that look at root causes of peoples problems. e.g. an alternative way of dealing with interpersonal violence within communities through transformative justice processes. At our jam sessions on the 1st Thursday of every month (6pm til Late) we invite all music lovers to come and create together. Every Monday from 4pm - 7pm Ground invites you to come and make art and have a cup of tea with us in a warm welcoming atmosphere. Art materials provided free (but you're welcome to bring your own too).
